Bowman/Lewis Christmas Fun

Christmas on Green River Trail is always super fun, but this year it was even better than normal. We did our traditional singing and dancing around the Christmas tree, eating a fantastic meal, and opening presents. Then, the big surprise...a party bus to go look at lights! Mimi and Pops rented a party bus to take us to drive through Prairie Lights in Grand Prairie. We got an upgrade at the last minute and our bus was bigger and had a bathroom. That made us all a little happier because we were worried about the little ones having bathroom emergencies. I think in the end, the adults used it more than the kids. We were, of course, drinking more than them :) The kids highlight was definitely the "pole" in the middle of the bus. We were all dying because we couldn't get the kids off the pole! It was so much fun to all be together. The kids loved not being strapped in to their car seats. Halfway through the light tour, there is a little Santa's Village with rides, hot cocoa, and pictures with Santa. It would have been a lot of fun except for the fact that it was about 15 degrees outside! We tried to bundle up as much as we could, but it still didn't help! The kids were troopers and jumped on the carousel a few times, but they were absolutely freezing. We all got hot chocolate and hopped back in the warm party bus for a few more lights and spins on the pole. What a great memory for all of us!
