Waiting for the plane. I think we were asked, "When is the plane leaving?" about a million times!
It was a pretty long night! Our plane got in late, the Magical Express bus took forever to leave the airport, we didn't have a pack 'n play in our room, so we didn't get to sleep until a little after 1am. Our plan was to get up and go to Epcot in the morning whenever we woke up. We didn't sleep in too late, so we got up, and started to walk to the lobby for breakfast and to catch the bus. What we didn't realize was that it was pouring outside...We had to stop and get out our ponchos, change our shoes (that we had just put on), figure out the rain cover on the stroller, before we could even start our long walk to the lobby. Once we finally got to the lobby it was much later than we had anticipate, so we just grabbed a bagel and a muffin and some drinks. We went to the bus stop and waited for the bus and waited and waited. Seriously, two Animal Kingdom buses came and every other park before ours came. It was about a 30 minute wait. Cory was irritated with all of our drinks, the lack of breakfast, and the stroller. I was irritated with the wait and with Cory being irritated :) Finally, the bus came, and when it did, it was packed so full that we had to stand the whole time - with all the kids and the stroller. What a pain! We got to the park, and it had luckily stopped raining. We got on our first ride, Spaceship: Earth which was a family ride that went inside the "big silver golf ball". The Hrobars had been there forever, so we finally hooked up with them and rode TestTrack. I had no idea what it was like, but the kids were all about trying it. I knew that if it was too fast or too scary that it might ruin them for the rest of the trip. Brooke and I sat this one out, and we waited for them to get off. Great thing was, the kids loved it! They all wanted to ride it again, so I took the girls with Shane. It was pretty fun! I think it got up to 55 mph. That was the beginning of all the kids loving the rides! After we rode another ride, Mission: Space, we went to eat lunch. It was the first real food we had had all day, and it was pretty late. We went all the way across the park to a restaurant that I had heard was great, but it was unfortunately a little disappointing. It was frustrating to have to carry all the trays with all of our food. We didn't know how the dining plan worked, and it was just annoying. After lunch, we split up and we went to meet some princesses. We met Belle, Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, and Snow White. Brooke was a little anxious at the first one, but then she loved them. Of course, she really believed they were the real people, and she loved giving them hugs. We had a dinner at the Garden Grill, which was also a little disappointing. The characters were great - Mickey and friends, but the food was a little iffy. After dinner, we went over to the Aquarium and did the Nemo ride, which was really cool and saw all the fish. We did Soarin' after that which was really fun! Adilyn and Kacy got to do it twice - once with Cory and once with me. It was a virtual ride that made it seem like you were flying all over the United States. When you went through the forest, it smelled like pine trees. When you flew through Alaska, it got super cold. It was very cool! We decided to stay and watch the fireworks, but we didn't have that great of seats, so we decided to head on out during the show. I couldn't believe that we were there all day, with no break after such a late night the night before. Luckily, catching the bus on the way home was a lot easier. We got home and went right to sleep. Adilyn and Kacy's favorite ride was Test Track, but I think mine and Cory's was Soarin'. Poor Brooke missed out on both of those, but she seemed to love the Nemo ride and anything else that we did with her. I was worried about her getting upset that she was left out, but as long as we kept her entertained, she was okay.
