Seriously, one of the funnest days of the trip was our outing to Sleeping Bear Dunes. I always loved going to the dunes when I was a kid. We would climb up them, run down, climb up, and run down. I knew the girls would love it too because let's face it, sand is pretty much their favorite thing. I wasn't sure how they would do climbing the dunes, but they did great. There was a little complaining here and there, but it really wasn't as high as I remembered it to be. We got to the top of the first section, and they didn't want to go anymore which was fine with me. I knew that if we pushed them to keep going, we would just end up carrying them anyway. We played in the sand at the top of the hill, and we jumped off the dunes to get a few cute jumping pictures. Brooke loved running down the hills, and she kept wanting us to pull her in the air to "fly"! Mom didn't come up with us, so we decided to do the scenic drive around the other side to see Lake Michigan. It was an amazing view! 500 feet almost straight down to the lake. It was so clear that you could see the rocks in the water all the way down there. It was a little overcast, so we couldn't see the other islands, but it was still a beautiful view! It was a fantastic way to end our trip!
