It's very clear that I love the beach, so any time anyone asks us to go to the beach - I jump on it! The Griffins hadn't been to Galveston in quite a few years, and they had a free day when they were in Houston, so we went down together. The weather was perfect, and the kids had a fantastic time playing in the water. Luckily, there were no seaweed or jellyfish issues. You just never know what to expect when you go down there! We stayed at the beach for a couple of hours, and then we decided to grab a bite to eat. Unfortunately, it was a Friday evening, and everywhere we went was just wrong or busy, didn't serve food, or wasn't a place for kids. I could not believe how hard it was to find an appropriate place to eat! We went into one restaurant that had a pool inside of it, and we thought that would be fun. Little did we know that the pool was filled with a bunch of really drunk adults. We got out of there pretty quick! :) We finally settled on Salsa's, and it was a great choice! The wait was not that long, and the food ended up being really good. Plus, there were cool horses that you could play on while you waited.
