Brooke can FWIM!

All summer long, we have been trying to get Brooke to put her face in the water. She kept telling us that she didn't want to swim, but that she might do it "next weekend". All the time, it was next weekend. She would go all around the pool in a tube or on a noodle, and it was very obvious that she could totally swim on her on, if she wanted to! Finally one day, she decided to try to doggy paddle everywhere. She got to where she could doggy paddle almost the entire width of the pool. We kept telling her that it would be a million times easier if she put her face in the water. She kept saying, "Nope!" Then, all of a sudden, she decided to just do it. And just like that, she's a swimmer! Every time she would get to the steps or to me, she would say, "I know how to fwim!"
