A genie, a mismatched witch, an arctic princess and RAIN!

We had yet another rainy Halloween. Leading up to the night of people in the neighborhood were trying to rally together to delay the trick or treating night. We all decided that it was a silly idea! I mean, kids can get a little wet, right? Well, it was quite the rain storm at times, but we powered through! We did realize that M&M packages do not like the rain too much because they all got a little soggy, but everything else survived. The girls all had another great night of walking the neighborhood despite the rain. We also ventured down a new street, and they had some pretty cool decorations!

Future Careers

The elementary sometimes have a "Career Day" dress up day. I always let me kids dress up as whatever they want as long as we can make the costume with stuff we have at the house. I mean, I have to have limits, right? My favorite costume through the years has definitely been when Kacy wanted to be a tattoo artist. Brooke had a pretty good future career this year, though - Face Painter :)

Kacy the Cuddler

If I had to guess, Kacy's love language is physical touch. She loves to snuggle and be affectionate. Unfortunately, Adilyn is the farthest from that as you can imagine. Every now and then, Adilyn will "let" Kacy hug her or be extra close to her. Those moments are super sweet, and Kacy just loves them so much! I caught one of those on this afternoon :)

Little Areas

Kacy is always obsessed with what she calls "little areas". These are little random decorative spaces, gazebos, and neighborhood spaces. This is one of the little areas that we pass everyday when we go to swim practice. We had a little extra time one night before swim practice, so we decided to stop for a quick photo shoot at one of her favorite little areas. She even convinced Adilyn to get out with her and take a picture. 

Another camping trip with friends

We love our camping trips with friends! We had a great weekend fishing, riding bikes, and just hanging out in nature. I love that we can have good old-fashioned fun with people we love!

Costume shopping distractions

The girls favorite thing about Halloween besides the candy is trying to find a Halloween costume. I am pretty sure that it's my least favorite! They find something they think they like. They try it on and it's too itchy or too tight or too loose. We always go to Party City to get our first look because they have so many options. Of course, they have so many other random things there! I was looking at something, and I turned around and saw these two goof balls. It gave me a much needed laugh during the stressful costume shopping!

Creepy New Decorations

We decided to make some new Halloween yard decorations this year, but we are cheap! We looked on Pinterest to see what we could make on our own, and we decided on 3 creepy ghosts "dancing". The girls loved helping me make these 3 little weird dancers! They turned with a pretty long torso, but it was still fun. The little orange blob is a "fire" that we put lights on to make it look like a fire.
