I was lucky enough to get to go to the 5th grade party and be there for the "clap out" where the 5th graders walk the halls and all the younger kids give them high fives and clap for them. It was so fun to see, and it was a little sad :( I have some other pictures of the whole day that I need to get off another computer, but here is one that I snapped of Adilyn. I am so thankful that we have such an amazing elementary school!

Bring on the Summer!!!
We had our first little fun in the pool day with some friends to kick off summer! I love that the kids are all a little older now, and they can have fun and be safe without us having to hover over them. Summer is the best, and I am so glad it's finally here!
Our Peacock!
Meet our new summer buddy! Princess the Peacock is adorable and enormous, and I am sure we will have lots of fun with her in the pool this summer :)
It was hilarious when we were blowing her up she just kept getting bigger and bigger. She filled up the entire mud room, and we had to shove her out of the door. We were all laughing hysterically. Sometimes it's the little things that are the funniest!

Our Little Dancer
Brooke has had an interesting dance life this year! We followed her favorite teacher to all different studios, but she still had a great time. This was her picture taken in her recital outfit. Her favorite routine was "Dancing in the Rain" with the little umbrella. It's always hard to take pictures during the performances, but it was pretty cute!
Swim = Strong!
I love so much about swim, but one of my favorite things is how great of a workout it is for them every single day! Both Kacy and Adilyn are getting so strong! I love this picture of Kacy as we were waiting for the swim meet to start. She looks like a superhero. Love it!

The Cookie Man for our favorite guy!
Cory absolutely loves cookie cake from the Great American Cookie shop. One year, I tried to fool him and get a cookie cake from HEB for his birthday, and it did not go well! So, from now until eternity he will get a Great American Cookie cake! This year, he got a super cookie man on the cake. We all loved it so much, and it was hard for us to finally eat the actual cookie man. Well, it wasn't that hard because those are some delicious cookie cakes! Happy Birthday, Cory! We are lucky to have you as our guy!

Rained Out!
This was one of our crazy busy weekends, and we were trying to fit in all in. Adilyn had her last volleyball tournament, and her swim meet was in the afternoon. As we left the volleyball tournament, it started pouring! The team was going to a end of the season lunch together, and Adilyn wanted to go but also wanted to go to the meet. It was a very dramatic back and forth decision. It hadn't started raining at the meet, so I convinced her to skip the pizza party and head to the meet. Of course, the minute we got there, Adilyn changed and lined up for her event. Then, there was lightning. The meet was postponed...then postponed again and again and again. Finally, it was cancelled. I felt so bad because Adilyn missed out on the pizza party for no good reason at all, but she was really okay with it all. Oh well, that's the consequence of wanting to "do it all".
Volleyball Buddies!
Adilyn and Raven played volleyball together every single season since they were in 2nd grade. I loved coaching them, and I am glad that they continued to play together when we moved form the YMCA. They have been so fun to watch as they grew and got better! It's an end of an era, though, because Raven has decided not to play anymore. It was sure fun while it lasted! We weren't that happy with the club that we joined, and the coaching was pretty bad. I mean, not saying that I was amazing, but at least I was fun and nice :) It was a little bummer of a way to end it this way, but even though they won't be volleyball buddies anymore, they can still be regular buddies!

A Visit from Pops
This was one of those weekends that we had about three too many things going on at once, so I asked Dad to come down to help. Cory was going to be out of town, so I definitely needed some back up to handle the volleyball and swim situation. There have been so many times that I have wished that we lived closer to my parents! Luckily, they are always willing to come down when I need them as well as just coming down to visit when they can. They have always made it such a point to make sure they see the girls as much as they can, and I am grateful for that! Here is Dad enjoying some wine in Cory's new "rocking" chair after our wild and crazy day.
Summer Swim Fun
Swim pictures are the hardest to get, but here are a few that I managed to snap during this meet! Both girls are having a great season with Heatherwood. They are glad to be doing mostly 25 yard races, which is such a welcomed change from the 100 and 200 yard races they have been doing all year long. They love hanging out with their friends during the meets!

Mother's Day at the Beach
Mother's Day means that I get to choose what we do, so we headed down to Galveston! Yay! It was a beautiful day! I remember that we went a couple years ago for Mother's Day and it was cold and rainy. Not this time. The sun was out, the water was a beautiful as Galveston can get, and everyone had a great day!
Despite all the things that might be annoying about being a mom, I really, truly love being the mother of these three little people. I love seeing them grow and become amazing little people. I love laughing with, holding them when they are sad, and doing all I can help them figure out this thing we call life. I feel so lucky to have experienced the miracle of motherhood.

Another Year with Heatherwood
We went back and forth about doing summer swim team this year, but we just had to! We love our summer swim family so much, and we don't ever see any of them any other time. Unfortunately, Brooke still didn't want to swim, but Adilyn and Kacy were all in. Let's do this! Not looking forward to the early mornings and hot afternoons, but I sure love watching them swim!

Little Red
Kacy was "Little Red" in the drama club play this year. The play was called "Big Bad", and it was a parody on Little Red Riding Hood. The Big Bad Wolf was on trial for all his bad deeds, and Kacy was a witness in the trial. The whole play was adorable, and the kids did fantastic! They had a great sound system this year, so it made it so much more enjoyable. Kacy had quite a big monologue when she gave her testimony, and we practiced and practiced. She had some really cute lines, and her character was pretty sassy. I was so nervous for her! I don't think there would be anything more nerve-wracking than being in front of a crowd and completely forgetting your lines. She did absolutely amazing! All the little places that she had some hiccups before, she just flew right through. I was so proud of her, and all the other kids!
