Kacy's Eight!!!

Kacy had a great day turning 8! She decided to go to the roller rink with her friend, and she quickly realized that roller skating is not very fun when you don't know how to do it. :) She stuck with it and got better after a little bit. We went out to dinner, and then back to the house to swim. We finished off the night with way too much ice cream. They had such a great time!
Kacy is still the silly little say anything to anyone girl that she has always been. She loves hard and she fights hard. She is usually right in the middle of all the fun and all the fighting. Kacy is a fiesty little one! She works hard in school, and she is a great helper. It is so much fun to see these little babies grow up into little people. :)

Goofy goobers!

Here are some silly pics from my phone...If nothing else, I hope these girls stay goofy! :) Clearly, Brooke and Kacy are more of the silly picture girls. Adilyn is too cool for funny faces! Ha! Ha!

Red, White, and Blue (aka - End of Summer Swim)

The girls have enjoyed swimming with our year-round club, but where they really have so much fun is with our neighbor summer swim team! I love seeing the friendships that they have made and see them reconnect every summer. These pictures are from the last summer league invitational meet. Both girls were in both relays (which are my favorites to watch), and they did many individual events. Kacy did not place in her individual events where she wanted to, but she still ended up getting some ribbons. Adilyn got her best times of the season in almost every event, and ended up with some ribbons and medals. We are so proud of them!

La Toretta - Girls Trip

We always get together with Mom in June for an overnight trip to start the summer off. We have been to La Toretta two years in a row, so we thought the girls might want something new. I looked for some houses in Austin and in other areas, and I told the girls that I was looking for something different. They all freaked out and said, "No, we want to go back to La Toretta!" It was pretty funny! So, off we went. Once again, we had a great time! We went celebrated the girls' birthdays with pizza for dinner in the hotel room. We also had so much fun at the mini golf course, the waterpark and the lake area. Such wonderful memories :)

Another Luau!

Adilyn and Kacy wanted another luau, and I didn't complain! I love luau colors and decorations :) We had quite a few kids over to swim and play, and everyone had a great time. The girls are so lucky to have such good friends in their lives. An extra bonus (for all of us) was that the Griffins happened to be coming in town, so they got to join us! It was such a fun night!

Adilyn turned 10!!!

Adilyn's birthday was such a long day! We started out with a swim meet, then off to the last volleyball game of the season, then the end of the season volleyball lunch, then an outing and sleepover with her friend, Makinzi. She had a super fun day surrounded by a ton of friends!
Adilyn at 10 years old is so similar to Adilyn at every other year. :) She is dramatic and unpredictable. She is sensitive and a great helper. She is hardworking when she wants to be, and super lazy when she wants to be. No matter what, this girl just does her thing. Most of the time that is awesome, and sometimes it drives us crazy! The things that I love about her is that when push comes to shove, she is a fantastic sister. Any time Brooke or Kacy really need her, she is there for them. She is a great student, and she loves to help her teachers. She loves to read, and she will stay up crazy late to finish a book (guess it's in the genes). I can't wait to see what the future holds for my sweet little first born. The teenage years loom ahead, and the forecast is a little scary! ;)

End of the Season for Crush Volleyball

This is the last season that I am going to coach some of these sweeties that I have coached for the last 3 years. I have loved watching them grow up and mature and get better. It's sad to be done with that chapter, but I am so glad that I did it :) I hope, if nothing else, that they had fun and that they learned to love playing volleyball. We had a fantastic season, and we lost 2 games the whole year! So many of the games were close, but the girls worked hard and stayed positive to get the win. It was probably my favorite group to coach! A great way to end, in my opinion. I am still going to coach Kacy's group for a year or two, so we will see how that goes.
