Brooke's Swim Lessons
Brooke had been doing swim lessons for a couple months, but there weren't going as quickly as I wanted them to go. I asked Kacy's coach if we could do a lesson for Brooke. It was amazing to see her from going to only being able to kick with her arms in front of her to actually swimming freestyle and backstroke in about 30 minutes. He is a great coach, and he really knows how to get through to kids. Now, off to swim team for the little one! :)

"One day there was a girl named, Celisa Henderson....
...and she LOVED dancing hip hop and ballet. She went to her grandmother's house carrying a basket that was filled with blueberries and raspberries." Now you go.
This is what I have heard every single night when I put Brooke to bed for the last few weeks. I have to finish the story in a different way every single night. It's hilarious, but I'm running out of ideas! Some nights I dance for her. Some night the blueberries and raspberries are magical and take us to different lands. Some night the Grandmother gets lost and needs help. The list is endless, except I feel that one day I might run out of ideas!
I love it (most nights), and I love to see the look on her face while I spin these "magical" tales. Sometimes the littlest things are the sweetest things.

Happy Pizza!
I have no words to describe what was happening here. All I know is that it was random and made me laugh!

Another Volleyball Season - The Storm is Coming!
We started up another volleyball season, and I think it's going to be a good one! We have all returning players but two, and everyone seems to be doing great so far. I think this is Adilyn's last season for the volleyball, so I hope that she has a great time. I love all these girls so much, and it's been so fun to coach them for these last three years!

Day at the Beach
There is nothing that I like more than a day of fun in the sun and sand! The last Saturday of Spring Break was pretty nice weather, so I decided to take the girls to the beach. No matter what, we can always have fun there :) I thought it was going to be too chilly to go in the water, but the minute we got there the girls went right in. They played in the water and the sand for the afternoon, while I helped build some sand castles and relaxed a little bit. It was a nice way to end our Spring Break!

Spring Break - Girl Time in Fort Worth
While we were playing around in Music City, the girls were in Fort Worth having all kinds of fun! They bowled, went to the movies, played at many parks, and had a wonderful time! I am so grateful to have parents that are willing to watch these crazy three while we can have some alone time. I am glad they had a lot of fun, even if they were having fun without us!
Tennessee Trip Post #2
Our last two days were as full as our first! We visited the Country Music Hall of Fame during the day. It was fun, but there were a lot of displays and a lot of information! That night we didn't have any plans, so we decided to go to the Predators hockey game. A bit random for a Nashville trip, but we had fun. The next day we decided to stop by the Johnny Cash Museum, and that was awesome! I could not believe how many things they had from his life. Everything from his elementary report card to original songs in his handwriting to furniture from his house. All the displays and areas were all so creative and interesting. I loved it! There was a video recording of Johnny reading his poem "Ragged Old Flag" with lights of stars shining on the walls like a waving flag. It was pretty powerful. That night was the grand finale - the Grand Ole Opry! That was also amazing. All the performers were really entertaining, and they ended with Rascal Flatts. Like I said, we did a ton of things, but everything was really fun. The best part, of course, was just being together!

Tennessee Trip Post #1
I absolutely love our "anniversary" trips in March! It's such a great break after a busy holiday season and before a busy spring/summer. Nashville was our destination this year, and we had a great time. It was definitely a busy trip with not a lot of down time, but we still had so much fun. The first thing we did was go to the Bluebird Cafe! We were lucky enough to snag some difficult to get tickets for the Saturday night show. People stand in line for hours to get a seat, but we got ours online and went right in! It was such a neat experience. There were four singer/songwriters there that night, and they just took turns talking about a song they wrote and then they would sing it. All acoustic, with only a guitar. It was really awesome. The writer of "Jesus, Take the Wheel" was there and sang that one. My favorite song was by Adam Hambrick. He had me in tears singing about his little girl. After we finished there, we headed downtown. It was the NCAA game night, and Kentucky just got finished. Needless to say, downtown was a sea of Kentucky fans! It was crazy busy, so we snuck into the Wildhorse Saloon, had some drinks, and watched a ton of people line dance.
The next day we went to the Jack Daniels Distillery for a tour. It was super entertaining. Our tour guide was in the Jack Daniels commercial that they had just shot, and he was hilarious! I was even brave enough to try all the samples. I liked zero of them, but I couldn't be there and not try it. I was sure that I would offend our sweet little guide! We hung out in the little town square for a little while after our tour. We went out again that night, and it wasn't nearly as busy. We stopped into CrazyTown and did a little drinking, dancing, and people watching.
