A Fun Night at the Drive-In

We had a fun night at the Showboat Drive-In with the Hrobars. The weather was absolutely perfect! It was a little chilly when the sun went down, but perfect to snuggle up under blankets. We got there a little early, and got things set up. We got a huge bucket of popcorn, and managed to spill it twice before the movie even started! Brooke crawled around the back of Cory's truck and cleaned it up for us, that girl loves popcorn! Kacy, Adilyn, and Hudson loved watching the clouds and kept pointing out different shapes as we were waiting for the sun to go down, while Mason and Wyatt played catch with Shane. We watched "The Croods", and everyone enjoyed it! Brooke was a little squirmy, but it was a perfect place to walk her around. It was a super fun evening with great friends!

Spring Festival

I loved the school carnivals when I was growing up. The cake walk, the dunking booth, the duck pond game...all of it! So, naturally, when Adilyn's first school carnival arrived, I was just as excited! It's a little different as a mom, but there is still a lot of the same good, old-fashioned fun. It was a beautiful day, so we decided to walk up to the school. It's only about a mile, so we loaded up the stroller and headed out. We arrived with our tickets in hand, ready to play! The girls wanted to do facepainting first, then we moved on to the bouncy slide. Sometimes they have super sweet "sister" moments, and the slide was one of those. Adilyn helped Kacy up the slide, then they held hands each time down! Adilyn was more interested in the carnival games, and Kacy just wanted to swing. I took Adilyn to do the games, and she had a lot of fun. The cake walk was fun although we didn't win any cakes. Brooke loved dancing to the music with the big kids. Kacy wanted to be put in the "jail", so the lady working it just let her in. Once she got in there, she decided that it wasn't as fun as she thought it was going to be, so she got right out. :) Before we left, our last stop was to grab a snow cone for the ride home. I love being able to share these "school" memories with her! I know lots of people get sad about their kids growing up, but for me, it's just new adventures and fun experiences. I love it!

Brooke is ONE!!!!

I will write Brooke's 1 year update later, but I have to get some pictures of her party up. We had such a great day! My main goal was to be able to enjoy the party. A lot of times the parties are so stressful and busy that I don't get to enjoy the party and the people that came to celebrate with us. This party was different, and I actually got to talk to everyone and enjoy our time together! It was so much fun! We had a rainbow theme, and it was so much fun to decorate with all the colors and to make all the yummy rainbow treats.

Bluebonnets and Besties

We are so thankful for the good friends that we have in our life! I had a magnet on my fridge forever that said, "Wherever you are, it's your friends who make your world." I am glad that our friends make our world so much fun! Anyway, I wanted to go take some pictures in the bluebonnets again this year, and the Griffins wanted to go too. We found an amazing park in the Woodlands that had some beautiful bluebonnets. Unfortunately, the rest of the world heard about how amazing it was, too, and they were there! We had a hard time finding a perfect spot, and getting a space where nobody was in the background. We did get a couple cute pictures of the kids, and they all had a lot of fun holding hands and running down the hill. After we took pictures, we went into Tomball and ate dinner and got ice cream at a cute little restaurant. It was a fabulous day, filled with simple fun, my favorite kind of fun!
